As Chief Growth Officer, Michael Stroup focuses on ensuring SVP continues its rapid rise from its formation in 2014 with Shore Capital to becoming the 6th largest owner of veterinary hospitals, by being the partner of choice for veterinarians seeking a quality and growth-oriented partnership.
Prior to SVP, Michael worked at United Surgical Partners International (USPI) for ten years as the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Acquisitions, helping USPI grow to over 250 ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs). In this role, Michael partnered with physician groups and health systems to buy or build ASCs and execute their overall ambulatory growth strategies.
Before USPI, Michael was an investment banker for RBC Capital Markets and JPMorgan and a management consultant with Mercer, working with healthcare management teams on strategy and growth.
Michael earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Healthcare and Finance from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his young family, dog, and two cats; and enjoys leaving the city for water and snow skiing whenever possible.
