Elizabeth Stowe is SVP's Inventory Manager overseeing inventory expenditure for all our vet hospitals and helps our hospital managers understand the ins and outs of inventory management. She has been part of the SVP family for years, even before there was SVP! She started with Dr. Jay Price at our Oak View Animal Hospital in 2006 as a technician and was promoted to Hospital Manager in 2011. Lizzie has been with Southern Veterinary Partners since conception when there were just three hospitals and Dr. Price asked her to join him and help manage hospital operations.
She began her career in animal care in 1994 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Auburn University in 2000. At home, she has 2 French Bulldogs Bella and Boomer and an American Shorthair cat named Merlin. Elizabeth’s interests include playing with her children and animals, cross-stitch and karaoke.
What attracted you to the veterinary industry?
I've loved animals since I was little. I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was growing up. I didn't make it that far but am happy to be working in the veterinary industry and doing what I love.
What do you enjoy the most about working at SVP?
I have been with Jay Price, CEO of SVP for over 10 years. I was there in the very beginning when we first started acquiring hospitals. None of us were expecting this company to take off so fast, but we are all ecstatic that it has grown in the small amount of time that it has. In that time, one thing has not changed - every employee is valued and treated like family. The atmosphere can be very professional, but also very laid back. I don't think there is any other company out there like that. We know how and when to have fun and how and when to be serious. SVP is a one of a kind company that I am very proud to be a part of.
