Meet Carole Lewis, our Senior Field Integration Specialist who was our SVP GROW Award winner in 2020!
How long have you been working at SVP?
I have been working at SVP for over two years.
What is your current job title? Can you tell us a little bit about your role?
Senior Field Integration Specialist
What about your current role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy being able to partner with our new hospital teams and managers to welcome them into the SVP family. New Hospital Managers always have a feeling of worry with the unknown and change so being able to provide them with the resources and knowledge they need to transition is an important part of the white glove experience we want all acquisition hospitals to receive.
Have you had any other positions at SVP before this?
I was a Hospital Manager
What is your favorite part about working at SVP?
Working for a company that walks the walk and talks the talk. When Senior Leadership says our people are the most important to them, I know it’s true. Time after time, you can see and feel through their decisions that each teammate matters. You know through their behaviors and actions that there is thoughtful consideration to our teams and each individual that is a part of SVP.
How has SVP helped you in your career development?
SVP has helped me in my career development by providing me the opportunities to use my current strengths and stretch into other areas. The role I am in and have opened for other HMs to step into is a testament to their willingness and want for others to succeed and GROW!
What are three words to describe SVP?
Inclusive, Fun, and Rewarding
What is your proudest moment at SVP?
I have two proud moments that hit the top of the list: 1) Seeing the growth and establishment of this role. Dr. Falone and Nicole provided me an opportunity to identify and develop a way to set our hospital’s up for success as they integrated into SVP. I have never worked for an organization that sees the potential in someone and allows them the freedom to identify a need and create it without foundation. They took a chance on my skills, and to see where it’s come in such a short time makes me feel so proud to work within SVP. 2) The 2nd proudest moment was being selected for the SVP GROW Award at last year’s National Meeting. It was a challenging year in my leadership development, being in a place where I didn’t have a path defined for me and was one that I had to stretch my comfort of living in ambiguity.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Greece or Italy!
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
It’s obvious that I would want to pick to be a Frenchie initially :) and I had to research this a bit. This is a hard one, BUT...if I had to pick an animal that I would be, I would have to say a giraffe. From what I read on the giraffe, they have incredible foresight. Anyone who has ever spent time with me or worked with me would agree that while I don’t have a crazy, long neck, I do have incredible foresight and the ability to see further ahead than most.
Any fun facts about you that you want to share?
I lived in Okinawa, Japan, for three years. No, I do not know how to speak Japanese. But drove on the other side of the road and enjoyed many occasions of sitting in the sand with small baby sharks swimming around me. I’m also a proud Frenchie mom of 3 adorable French Bulldogs--They are like pringles; you can’t just have one!
