Southern Veterinary Partners has acquired and welcomed Standifer’s Animal Clinic in Homewood as its 13th animal hospital in Alabama.  

Based in Birmingham, Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is a veterinarian owned and operated regional network of animal hospitals in the South with a goal of providing the highest quality veterinary care to companion animals with exceptional client experiences. 

Standifer’s Animal Clinic was owned by Dr. Wayne Standifer, who joined the hospital in 1982.  His father, the late Dr. William Standifer, founded the hospital in 1957 and provided veterinary care for pets in Homewood and Birmingham for almost 40 years.
