We’re a UNIQUE company, seeking UNIQUE veterinarians LIKE YOU to join this program* and build our network of high quality and service-oriented animal hospitals.
Receive broad clinical experience under the supervision of experienced veterinarians including internal medicine, surgery, emergency care, and more.
Observe and participate in surgical and dental procedures, ultrasound analysis, routine and emergency examinations, medical therapy and client communication (potential opportunities based on skill level).
Fine tune your technical skills including injections, catheterization, venipuncture, radiographic positioning, and sample collection.
Participate in case management, diagnostic interpretation, therapeutic drug selection.
* Please note that our summer job opportunities have been filled for 2020. However, we are still accepting third and fourth-year student applications for externships and preceptorship placements.

* By applying for a student job with Southern Veterinary Partners, you are committing to a four-week period working approximately 40 hours each week. Your exact schedule will be determined by the hospital's hours of operation and the needs of that hospital. Your schedule may vary week to week and may be somewhat more than 40 hours. The hospital doctors will determine your schedule and work with you to allow you any necessary time away.
Southern Veterinary Partners is seeking veterinary students to help build and foster relationships between SVP and the students, faculty, and staff of veterinary schools. Meet our current SVP Student Consultants!
Schedule one lunch & learn or other meetings each semester.
Provide SVP with opportunities to network with veterinary students at any events deemed appropriate.
The student consultant will act as a liaison for students requesting externships and preceptorships with SVP hospital.
$2,000 per year ($1,000 per semester divided into two $500 payments)
Student consultant may be given the opportunity to attend SVP meetings to be held during the summer of their term
