Southern Veterinary Partners has been honored by Newsweek as one of America's Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces.
The results are determined after surveying employees, analyzing external public ratings, conducting interviews with company officials and researching each company. The list recognizes companies that put respect, caring, and appreciation for their employees at the center of their business model and, in doing so, have earned the loyalty and respect of the people who work for them.
SVP Chief Human Resource Officer Maggie Estess was elated when she received the news of the ranking.
“This recognition highlights our workplace as one of the best in the country and reinforces our continual commitment to our teammates and their growth, both professionally and personally,” Estess said.
SVP demonstrates its commitment to its teammates by offering flexibility, competitive pay, professional training and continuing education, industry-leading PTO and bonus programs, growth opportunities, and even pet discounts in a fun, rewarding work environment. The most regarded programs include:
Earlier this year, SVP joined the ranks of 268 companies becoming a Certified Most Loved Workplace®, adding to the company’s growing list of accolades. As a five-time Inc. 5000 "Fastest Growing Companies in America" (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022) awardee, Birmingham Business Journal's "FastTrack 30" of the Fastest Growing Companies in Birmingham (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021) and the Birmingham Business Journal Best Place to Work in the large company category for 2021 and 2022, the recognition of Southern Veterinary Partners as a top employer, both regionally, and now nationally is growing.
Established in 2014, SVP is the only animal health company that received ranking this year. Employing over 8,000 teammates across 22 states, SVP is a leading veterinary acquisition company.
“This award is really all about recognizing the hard work and dedication of teams across SVP. They’re the ones who have earned it. I’m proud to see their work recognized nationally. This team is constantly committed to providing the best programs, opportunities, and services to our teammates, for our communities, and for the pets in our care. They truly make this company what it is today,” said Jay Price, DVM, CEO and Founder of SVP. “To deliver on that commitment, we’ve fostered a culture of collaboration, learning, and altruism, empowering teams across the company to work together to contribute at the top of their abilities, resulting in highly-engaged teammates who deliver some of the best veterinary care in the country.”
SVP joins the ranks of companies such as Dell, Kelloggs and Spotify. The 2022 Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces® are the result of a collaboration with the Best Practice Institute (BPI), leadership development and benchmark research company.
"The companies on this list represent the best at placing love at the center of their employee's experience," said Louis Carter, CEO, Best Practice Institute. "The number of applications this year and analysis of survey data reinforces our original findings that love is the strongest predictor of the strength of a company's culture, employee engagement, and satisfaction," BPI and Most Loved Workplace Founder and CEO Louis Carter said.
